MORNING SESSION: The Anatomy of a Great Speech

What makes a great speech? How about a solid opening, great stories, a passionate speaker, a little (or a lot) of humor, and a great finish?

In this session, you will see four professional speakers deliver short 10-15 minute speeches that demonstrate a specific skill. Then a facilitator will work with the audience to analyze what the speaker did and how YOU can incorporate those elements into your own presentations. You’ll learn:

• Storytelling Strategies with Kirstin Carey
• Making the Most of Humor with Avish Parashar

AFTERNOON SESSION: Presentation Labs

Roll up your sleeves and plunge in-depth into the topics of your choice! Each of the four morning presenters will lead two 40-minute breakout sessions where you’ll learn their best tools, tips, and secrets that you can incorporate into your own presentations and speeches. You’ll choose the two topic areas of most interest to you and you’ll even have the opportunity to work with the experts 1-on-1 on polishing your own material during the “hotseat” segments.

CLOSING SESSION: Putting It All Together with special guest speaker Ron Culberson, CSP

See how a seasoned professional speaker incorporates all the elements of a great speech. Ron Culberson, CSP, will deliver the closing keynote for the event, titled “The Positive Side Effects of Humor”
